Twin Antique Dressers

The rain is still descending and the cold is still present, so on to the next post I go!  You're in for a treat!  These dressers are so unique and sure to catch the eye.  The lines are more straight and simple but the details are so interesting.  The top of the mirrors and the bottoms have lovely curves we all long to see in antique furniture.  The mirrors both have the intriguing antique glass and the drawers have the original hardware.

Dimensions:  35" tall, (6' with mirror) 19" deep, 3' wide

For Sale $150 each

Antique Dresser

It's cold and rainy today so I thought I would wade through my pictures looking for furniture that I need to share with you all.  Wal-la!  I found some!  I have one more I'll work on next so check back soon.  With our luck the cold and rain will hold out giving me ample time to sit here, cozied up with my coffee, updating the site.

Couldn't resist!

Now for the dresser.  This one is just delightful!  The size makes it perfect for any space where you need a little more storage.  My sister and I share one very similar and use it as a nightstand between our beds.  The old key holes make this piece even more charming along with the glass knobs.

Dimensions: 26" tall, 23 deep, 42" wide

For Sale $150

Cottage End Table

This charming end table is just the perfect size and very sturdy.  The one drawer and the shelf below are perfect for storage.

Dimensions: 21" tall, 27 1/2" deep, 21" wide

For Sale:  $75

Unique Elegant Buffet

We purchased this stunning buffet from a 60 year old woman who, when she was a little girl, remembers her father bringing it home in exchange for a logging job he did for a family.  Her father said it was old when he got it!  She remembers this buffet in her father's home all these years but due to space she was forced to sell it.  We happily snatched the opportunity and started a new project.

This buffet has a very unique feature.  There is, what I want to call, a bread board pull out but instead of wood it's copper!  We're not really sure why it's copper other than making this piece extra unique.  We've been told it's for pouring and mixing liquor.  The top drawer is the whole length of the buffet giving ample storage space for table cloths, silver, and place mats, ect.  There is intricate detail all over this buffet making the whole thing pop with interest!

Vintage Green Hosier

Believe it or not but this piece is a mixture of vintage and newly made!  We found the top portion and fell in love with it's charming vintage green color and unique drawers and cupboards.  Originally, it was a wall hanging cupboard in an old home.  After talking about it and trying to make it work, our resident woodworker (my dad), came to the rescue and said he'd make a table to turn the cupboard into a hosier.  He's so amazing!  Mom matched the paint so we were able to make the table the same color as the original paint.  After popping some stunning glass knobs on it to match the originals, we all decided this truly looks like we found this in a vintage house.

Dimensions: 87" tall,  47" wide,  30 1/4" deep,
the top cupboard is 12" deep.

For Sale:  $675

The small drawer right above the table top.

There are 3 drawers in the table.

The wood for the top of the table is from an old local hotel turned into  a home.

Just wait until you see the other cupboard that we found in the same old house, same paint and same amazing look!   Photos coming soon.

Huckleberry Lane at the Farm Chics Show

After weeks of hard work, getting rained off the farm and wondering if the show was going to be postponed, we finally had everything set up in a warehouse (brrrrrrr) for a weekend show.  Since we'd never actually run a whole booth at a show (we've only put in furniture at previous shows) we had no idea if we had enough pretties to make the whole look pleasing to the eye, but after setting up we were really surprised at how much we really did have.  Whew!   All was done...or so we thought!  Then the show started and the people began to flow in, lots of them.  It was such a delight talking and getting to know some dear people throughout the two days and meeting some of you who watch our blog on a regular basis, thank you and per your request, we'll get more on the blog soon!!!

Overall, it was a great show for us and as a result we are in another show as I write this.  Homespun Gift Company Spring Show.  35283 Riverside Dr. Albany, OR Thursday, April 11th 10-6,  Friday 10-6, and Saturday 10-4pm.
Heather is helping at the show today, Thursday, so if you stop by make sure to say hello to her.

If you see anything in the photos you are interested in, it may not be sold so e-mail us and we'll let you know.

Waterfall Nightstands

When Heather brought these matching nightstands into the house I was shocked!  I've seen many pieces come through our door and seen them be transformed into beauties but these nightstands?  YUCK!  The interesting scallops on the bottom could do something to help these poor things but really, I thought they were hopeless!  But after working her magic, Heather brought these stunning nightstands down from her studio.  For the finishing touches she added a medallion and vintage brown glass handles making the nightstands POP!  Once again a rags to riches story.   The sweet couple who bought these is moving to a new town and wanted to change their decor, these were just what they needed!
